Rayden had fun like always at Play Time. She tried the new rock wall but was not very successful at it, she got scared when she could not find a spot to put her foot once and decided to get down. She had fun in the rest of the areas though!

1 Year Well Baby Check
Parker had his 1 year well baby check this past week and just thought I would update you on how he is doing. Parker weighed in at 17 pounds 9 ounces and he was 28 inches long. He is still on in the 5th percentile for both weight and height but we didn't expect anything different. His check up went fine and he looks great and is meeting all of the milestones so far. The little guy got 4 shots but didn't do too horrible, he wasn't even too cranky later either. So his next appointment will be at 15 months.
Woops!
So the other night we were talking about how Parker needed a hair cut again so I asked my mom to cut his hair. We started out with the scissors and things were not going so well because Parker was very very wiggly that night. We decided to put an attachment on the clippers and just use those. So the guys use the #1 attachment so we thought the #2 would be just fine....one swipe across this boys head and his hair was gone! We had to finish with the same one so his hair is super super short. He looks even more like Daddy now....I will have to get a picture of them together so you can see. So this is the shortest his hair has ever been because he even had more hair than this when he was born :) He looks cute though and it will grow back fast....next time I think we will try the #3 or #4 attachment though!!!
The Rocking Bull
Grandma Bonnie and Papa Chuck sent Parker this super cute rocking bull for his birthday. It arrived when I was out so when we got home that night I put Parker on it and he loves it! He loves the song that the bull plays and will even rock the toy himself. This video is the first night, he does a lot better on it now! What is nice though is that he can get off of the bull himself, he is definitely not as clumsy as Rayden was at this age! Thank you so much for the fun gift!!
Oh So Tired
I actually never thought I would see the day that Parker would fall asleep in the high chair. Rayden always did it when she was little. Parker is really a creature of habit and will usually only go to sleep in his crib. He will just sit in the high chair and whine if he was tired and wanted to go to bed. This day I was busy doing something else when he was eating. I realized that he was being awfully quite and I turned around to see this. Poor little guy didn't even wake up when I took him out to put him in his bed.
Tea Party
Rayden just adores playing Tea, so when she got a tea set from Auntie Corey and Uncle Jason for Christmas so was more than excited. On this night we were just having a pretend party since Parker was playing too. This girl could play for hours but Parker kept stealing all of her stuff! In the last picture she is giving me her sad face because she said I spilled her tea....she is too funny!
Bowling
Last week we decided to take out the bowling game that Parker got for Christmas. We had a lot of fun playing it, especially Rayden! It took her awhile to roll the ball instead of throwing it, but she did really well. I had to hold Parker though or else he would just crawl over and play and chew on the pins. The set is all made of foam so it is making a nice inside toy for the winter.
More Gifts
A few days after Christmas the kids got some more gifts in the mail from Ampa Larry and Grandma Becky. Rayden was sooooo super excited about her big soft pink pillow, she hugged that pillow forever and has slept with it every night since! She also got a little Nativity set that she loves to play with. She makes up some pretty crazy stories about it while playing with it. The first night she got it she had one of the animals eating Baby Jesus and the rest of the animals were eating the fire....yeah quite the imagination she has! Parker got a Bee Bop Band and he loves it! Of course most of the time he just chews on the drum sticks but he is figuring out the rest of it pretty fast. Thank you Ampa and Grandma and we will see you soon!! :)
Game Time
Rayden got quite a few games for Christmas from Santa and from family. This is a great thing because she loooooves games and we were getting tired of playing lucky ducks and memory over and over and over! We usually play a game every night right before Rayden goes to bed but after Parker goes to bed so he does not get into the pieces! So her favorite games are probably Hi-Ho Cherry-O and Monopoly Town(with the cute talking car) , but she loves all of them.
New Toys
Parker loves the toys that he got from Grandma and Papa for his Birthday. He plays with his Little People Noah's Ark all the time, he always has to put them all on the roof! He also loves his walker toy, he zips all the way across the room with it as fast as he can go.
